What is your motivation? What keeps you going when everything seems to be pushing against you?
If you start with a "why" -- and if it is something near and dear to you -- then there is NOTHING in this world that can stop you.
It comes down to basic human nature: we protect what we love.
If you love what you do, and you can justify why you love it, then you have the answer to the question "Why?". It's as simple as that.
Of course, this does not mean that we need to give up on anything we don't emphatically love. By no means! It simply means that our core values as we run through this game of life should be founded on a grounding purpose. Without a purpose to hold us, we have no reason to stick with anything. Sure, you could claim that it's for money or success or notoriety. But think about the examples Simon gave in the video above. The people that pursued something for the love of money, did not succeed. The ones who met success and notoriety were those who had some sort of personal investment into what they were doing.
So when you're going out to start a business, finish school, or even just clean the house, don't just think about the end result. Instead, think about WHY you are doing it. Why is this important to you? What personal, emotional investment do you have in it? Are you pursuing a result, or are you pursuing a purpose?
What is your personal higher call?
